Accomplished!

Abby has been around since I've been studying school. She's stayed up with me during those Finals Week...and now it's all coming to and end.

I am a Senior and going to graduate May 13th, and there was no way I was going to take my photo-shoot without Abby. She's been through it all and she will continue.

Celebrating Holidays

I think it's a cute way to join your pets throughout the holidays, since Abby is apart of my family, she is always combined with our celebrations. I also enjoy taking pictures of her, either from my phone or I take her to Pet smart. Pet smart is always available every holiday. There is no fee, but you do have to arrive early to reserve your spot in line.

Abbby was no longer a puppy....

SURPRISE!!!!

One Easter, I noticed Abby's body was a bit wide. She's overall a skinny dog but not during that moment. I was afraid, so I took her to the doctor. They called me to the back and there I saw her first ultrasound of her five babies. She became blessed by becoming a mother.

We were not able to make it to Pet smart for her photo shoot, so I created one for her at home.

We gave away the three black ones to good homes, two are still currently alive. I was lucky enough to be able to give the girls pups to my sister. Elsa (left) Abby (middle) Anna (right)

Exercising Together ; 5K's ; Swimming

I believe exercise is very important for everybody and especially their pet. In order to keep your pet healthy, exercising is key. Heading to the park for 30-45 minutes almost everyday, slow jogging, playing with soccer balls, etc.

Being an animal and fit lover, I tried to incorporate both for the both of us, one day I was browsing through Facebook and came across this event for animals and their owners. It's called "Tails and Trails 5K RGV."All the proceeds went to the local animal shelter, "The Palm Valley Animal Center" and PAWS both located in Edinburg Texas.

It was a very interesting event because all throughout the 5K, there were people on the side with water bottles for the owners and dog bowls. Aside from that, the ones who were distributing the water were also cheering us on, so they made it fun for everyone. Unfortunately, we didn't make first or second place. There was no trophee at the end of the finish line, but the feeling of accomplishing something together made it worth while.

Swimming is another way for your pet to remain healthy and fit. Your pet can exercise and maybe even meet some new friends. The pool called Los Encinos Park located in McAllen Texas opens around the end of September. Abby was a first timer and she really enjoyed it. Admission was only $1.50

We were so close that she would remain by my side all the time. She may even wink better than I do.

Here's where we were getting comfortable before bed, she just loved to be right by my ear.

Being the rumbustious puppy that she was...she loved chewing on hangers and getting stuck inside them as well.

Of course I HAD to include her to celebrate 4th of July with the family...It was her first year so she was a bit afraid with all the fireworks popping.

She continued to grow...as well as her long dangling arms.

The Thermometer Goes Where?!?!

Yes, it was "that time of the month" in dog world...Abby went in for her first doctor appointment. I had been searching and searching for the best veterinarians near my area. I was more than likely the most excited one because this time I was going to do everything right; her shots and all the puppy packages that best suited Abby. I finally found a place called PetDoctor911 . They are a 24-hour animal medical center that can provide the help and care for small pets, even exotic. I had felt so welcomed the moment I stepped in, I knew Abby did too because she was the hit of the place. Everyone continuously told me "Oh, she's adorable". We decided to go for the best puppy package there was for her which consisted of her vaccinations her three DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis,Para-influenza, and Parvovirus). These are all vaccines that protect against diseases that are extremely contagious between puppies.

I only had 1 worry was how was I going to pay for these services? I mean having a pet and taking good care of a pet is expensive. Before booking the appointment, I confirmed with my way of purchasing. I applied for a credit card that was a life-saver! It's called CareCredit which you can use for cosmetic, dentist, vision, lasik, weight loss, veterinarian etc.

Overall, us both, Abby and I had an A+ grade first time visit and we continued with their service.Two-thumbs up!
